# Accessing an iOS App’s Documents Directory

Expose an app’s sandboxed Documents directory in the iOS Files app using two property-list settings.

On iOS 11 and later, setting `LSSupportsOpeningDocumentsInPlace` and `UIFileSharingEnabled` to `YES` in the app's property list makes its Documents directory accessible through the system Files app.

Open **Files → On My iPhone**. Apps with this feature enabled expose their folder here. This folder is linked to the app's sandbox; deleting the app also removes its stored documents.
